Home Video Studio- Westminster News Release

(Westminster, CO) - "Honey, the Dog ate our Wedding Video"

How many teachers have heard the phrase, "my dog ate my homework", but how about your Wedding Video?

For Brad and Beth Anne Parker of Castle Rock, Colorado it was panic when Aidi, a 1 1/2 year old German Shepard got hungry one afternoon. With over 200 VHS tapes to choose from, Aidi decided her afternoon snack would consist of the Parker's Wedding Video and a James Bond video of Dr. No.

"I didn't care about the James Bond movie, we can go and replace it", said Brad. "But our Wedding Video, well we just couldn't replace it. My grandfather and both of Beth Anne's grandparents are on our tape and are no longer with us. We had planned out our wedding and held it in Las Vegas. We had all our Wedding Party, relatives and friends fly out to Vegas. "Aidi had never done this before and I wasn't sure who to contact to determine if these memories could be saved", commented Brad.

Brad searched the Web and found Home Video Studio of Westminster. Owners Steve and Kim Dalbec could hear the concern in Brad's voice when he called to inquire about being able to repair their Wedding VHS tape. "I could imagine how Brad was feeling as he described the condition of the VHS cartridge. When he brought his tape to our Video Studio, I could see why he was so upset. Aidi had taken a good size bite from one end of the VHS tape-reminded me of a scene from Jaws", says Steve.

Home Video Studio was able to repair the VHS tape and put it into a new VHS cartridge. The Parkers then had their Wedding tape transfered to a DVD. Brad and Beth Anne now have their Wedding day on a much more durable media that will last far into the future.

"Brad ordered two DVD's. I believe it was for just in case Aidi decides to change diets from VHS to DVD's-the Parker now have a backup of their Wedding!" smiled Steve. The Parker's chewed up VHS tape cartridge is now a permanent part of the Dalbec's Video Studio. "The bite marks and the story behind it make for a great conversation opening as we meet new customers", commented Steve. "Next week it may be a VHS tape that a toddler jammed into a VHS player and broke the tape we may get called on to fix. As technology has advanced more and more customer are moving their memories from the older technology- 8 mm/16 mm film, VHS, VHS-C, 8mm/Super 8 to DVD's. This new technology will save these memories for a long time", says Steve.

HVS studio owners provide at least 27 different types of professional video services. Some of those services include video to DVD transfers, photo/video montage keepsakes, home movie transfers, videotape duplication, video editing, legal video services, and sports or music scholarship videos.
