Find Out What Home Video Studio Owners Are Saying about their Show 'N Tell experience

Chad Godfrey
Owner
Home Video Studio - Lee's Summit

Q: Do you remember your Show 'N Tell date?
A: Saturday, November 6, 2004

Q: What city was your Show 'N Tell held in?
A: indianapolis, IN

Q: How did you hear about Home Video Studio?
A: An advertisement in Videomaker magazine.

Q: Why did you want to pursue owning your own business?
A: I worked as an audio/video professional for another company. I loved the work but always wanted to do it on my own. HVS seemed like the best way to jumpstart my career into ownership (in hindsight, it really was).

Q: What was the biggest question on your mind about Home Video Studio?
A: How long will it take for me to quit my "day job" and do this full-time (by the way, the answer for me was five months and I'd completely replaced my income)?

Q: What equipment package did you purchase?
A: I purchased the Director package which was supplemented by equipment I already owned.

Q: What has been your experience as a Home Video Studio owner?
A: It's been one of the best experiences of my life. It's certainly the best career decision I've ever made. Business ownership is definitely not without its challenges, but the work is very rewarding and very diverse. Besides, working from home is a wonderful blessing in and of itself.

Q: Would you recommend this business to others?
A: Definitely. If you're ready for a change in your life that includes more family time, more creativity, and the opportunity to make a good living, this franchise is for you.

Comments:
HVS is a wonderful family of both corporate staff and franchisees. The level of training and support you receive at the franchise level is extensive and continues to grow each and every year. Additionally, the relationships you develop with individual franchise owners is unheard of in the franchise industry. Everyone is helpful and encouraging, ensuring your success in the video business.

Jeff and Kim Johnson
Owners
Home Video Studio - Moorpark

Q: Do you remember your Show 'N Tell date?
A: Saturday September 8, 2007

Q: What city was your Show 'N Tell held in?
A: Burbank, CA

Q: How did you hear about Home Video Studio?
A: An internet site for various franchise business opportunities.

Q: Why did you want to pursue owning your own business?
A: We were frustrated with the inconsistencies in Jeff's freelance schedule and wanted him to be closer to home with three small children.

Q: What was the biggest question on your mind about Home Video Studio?
A: Would the business be able to bring in enough money to replace Jeff's current income.

Q: What equipment package did you purchase?
A: The lowest priced package with a plan to upgrade once we understood the business better and what kind of profit centers we would be concentrating on.

Q: What has been your experience as a Home Video Studio owner?
A: Our experience has been that the system works. It takes a lot of dedication and hard work to make it happen, but we definitely see it paying off already. Even in a tough economy, we feel good about where our business is going and can't wait to see what the next couple of years bring.

Q: Would you recommend this business to others?
A: Yes, we would.

Comments:
We especially enjoy developing friendships with other studio owners. We have a support system to answer questions as well as give advice and encouragement.

Ken Sanders
Owner
Home Video Studio - Fairfax, VA

Q: Do you remember your Show 'N Tell date?
A: September 29, 2005

Q: What city was your Show 'N Tell held in?
A: Rutherford, New Jersey.

Q: How did you hear about Home Video Studio?
A: I received a postcard indicating a Show N Tell would be held at the "Videomaker EXPO." I signed up as soon as I could to get my seat at the presentation.

Q: Why did you want to pursue owning your own business?
A: I was working for FAA, a great career of nearly 33 years. I had decided I wanted to start up my own video business. I like the independence as well as the creativity it offers. I planned to start part time, while continuing to work in FAA. And then, as things built up and grew, I planned to retire and pursue the business fulltime. But when I came across Home Video Studio, it intrigued me. I saw an opportunity that could get me going a lot quicker.

Q: What was the biggest question on your mind about Home Video Studio?
A: Would I be able to make money at this business?

Q: What equipment package did you purchase?
A: The second level package. But, I have upgraded and added to the Studio equipment as the need has arisen.

Q: What has been your experience as a Home Video Studio owner?
A: I have learned so much about video editing, production, and the routine tasks of the business. The training, support and network of owners has been a huge contributor to my success. The business has grown each year. Last year, I saw a 20% increase in sales over the previous year. This occurred even in a slow economy.

Q: Would you recommend this business to others?
A: Yes, without a doubt. I wish I would have come across this opportunity sooner.

Comments:
I know I could have done all of this on my own. But the equipment package, the installation, training, and support has brought me along so much quicker than I could have done it by myself. And, the network of owners' interaction and support has been a big contributor to my early success. Thanks Robert!
