Robert's Favorite Books and Tapes!

"You are what you read and listen to." I am a very big believer in that. These are some of the books, tapes and Cds which helped and strengthened me from the early days right up until today.

1. Screenplay Syd Feld -- Read this on a plane on my first trip to Hollywood in 1980. Finished it as we touched down at LAX. I have read it many times since.
2. Skywalking By Dale Pollock -- I read and read this while I was making my first documentary for The Indiana Lions Eye Bank: Our Goal is in Sight. Re-read it constantly, while I was shooting and producing "Good Cop, Bad Cop."
3. See You At The Top By Zig Ziglar -- Just a great book on thinking clearly and finding your own way.
4. How To Get Rich And Stay Rich By Fred Young -- This was the first book I bought on the idea of becoming financially successful.
5. The Richest Man In Babylon By George S. Clason -- Given to me by my friend Bob Brown, simply a great book on how to save money.
6. The Way Of The Peaceful Warrior Dan Millman -- I heard about this book from a radio talk show. Read it and wonder.
7. Think And Grow Rich By Napoleon Hill -- I always scoffed at the outrageous title of this book until I bought a dog-eared one at a garage sale. This book has made me hundreds and hundreds of thousands of dollars - and more!
8. Lead the Field Earl Nightingale -- Got this one at the same garage sale. Especially like the "Acres of Diamonds" story.
9. The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People By Steven R. Covey -- A great book.
10. Awaken The Giant Within Anthony Robbins -- This book pushed me forward.
11. Personal Power II - The Driving Force Anthony Robbins -- These tapes really pushed me forward.
12. How To Win Friends And Influence People Dale Carnegie -- Another book that I waited way too long to read!
13. Unstoppable By Cynthia Kersey -- I found this book at Kinkos in 1999. It was my constant companion during the early days of Home Video Studio. I especially liked the Domino's Pizza story.
14. Dream Crafting By Paul Levesque and Art McNeil -- Just another good book on achieving your dreams.
15. Wishcraft By Barbara Sher Another book suggested by Bob Brown.
16. The Four Agreements By Don Miguel Ruiz This book was given to me by one of our owners. I really got a lot out of it.
17. Blink By Malcolm Gladwell -- bought this book in the San Diego airport. Glad I only took two seconds to make my decision to buy it!
18. The Art Of Happiness His Holiness The Dalai Lama and Howard C. Cutler, M.D. -- Everyone seeks happiness.
