Here’s a question that I am frequently asked: "What happens at Home Video Studio’s Show ‘N Tell Saturday? Well, Show ‘N Tell Saturday (sometimes it is a Show ‘N Tell Sunday, Wednesday, etc.) is a day that changes lives. At least, it can be if you want it to. What do we do? What happens? Many things.

Show ‘N Tell Saturday or SNT for short is Home Video Studio’s discovery day. It is actually a two-day event that begins the night before SNT with a "Get Acquainted" dinner. This is a casual business dinner in a nice restaurant. It is our treat! You might also call it a "Break-the-Ice" dinner. It lets us get to know you better and you get to know us a little better. You’ll meet me and my wife Denise (if she is with me) and sometimes a Home Video Studio associate or one of our nearby studio owners. Also, joining us will be your fellow SNT attendees.

Many people at first glance think Show ‘N Tell is a large seminar with many attendees. It isn’t. About half the time, it is one-on-one with just one person or party joining us. Also common are two to three parties. Four parties is my absolute limit. We want to make sure that we have time to focus on everyone’s questions and hopefully their future.

It does not cost anything to attend. In fact, we will pay all of your travel costs i.e. your airfare, mileage, hotel, car rental, meals, etc. should you decide to join Home Video Studio. You will need to qualify to attend, however.

The first step is to call me to discuss your interest. Let’s see if we are on the same page. If we are, then I will email you a link to our HVS application page. You’ll fill out your application on this secure website and then we’ll talk again. If you qualify, we’ll meet soon at our next Show ‘N Tell. Your next opportunity is Saturday June 28 in Indianapolis and after that Saturday July 12 in Burbank, CA.

So what happens at Show ‘N Tell? A lot. Here’s what to expect:

An open and honest discussion of Home Video Studio.

A good final overview of the business.

An overview of HVS training (both technical and marketing).

Profiles of our staff (we call them our crew).

The 27 profit centers.

The six equipment packages – a detailed item-by-item view.

Secrets of HVS. How and why we make so much money.

Financial goals and expectations.

Marketing and Advertising - how to get customers.

Installation and training dates.

Financing.

Afterwards, you’ll have time that day to think about what was discussed and to determine if you’ll be our next Home Video Studio owner. There’s always room for more in our ever-expanding family!

Call me today and we can chat. Let’s see if HVS is a good fit for you and for us.

It was not secret this time. Apple announced the next generation of iPhones this week. No doubt, Steve Jobs did a great job of showcasing it on his keynote address. The phone has some new cool features including GPS. And it will be faster for those of you who want to read this blog on your iPhone (alright by me!).

It was not secret this time. Apple announced the next generation of iPhones this week. No doubt, Steve Jobs did a great job of showcasing it on his keynote address. The phone has some new cool features including GPS. And it will be faster for those of you who want to read this blog on your iPhone (alright by me!).

You can read all the reviews as they come in. Here are just some random thoughts on my iPhone experience during the last year.

I was at Mac World last year when Apple unveiled the iPhone. Jobs and Apple are masters of marketing and promotion. They had the iPhone encased in a glass cylinder. Tons of people were crowded around it. I remember waiting my turn then pushing myself up to the glass to take a peek. I already wanted one. Now, I had to have one. That was back in January of ’07. The phone started selling in June of ’07. Actually, it was June 29, 2007.

I wanted to be first in line that day to purchase an iphone, so, I took some Home Video Studio associates to the Apple Store and got in line early - very early in the morning. In fact, we were too early. Mall security made us leave with instructions that we could not come back until 8:00 a.m. Funny thing, there was a Fox News crew that got kicked out too. We all drove to the Starbucks nearby. Thirty minutes later, I found myself "live" on the local Fox 59 news. Why was my "Film Crew" and me (ask me about our Film Crew promotion sometime) up so early for a cell phone?

That is a good question. I was wondering that myself. Actually, we had tried to get in line even a day earlier, but were shoed away then too. Well, we did get some great publicity!

But to answer the question, I guess I just like being first. An as you know, I am always in a hurry. I don’t like waiting, but I was willing to wait most of the day for my iPhone. I wanted to be the first kid on my block to get an iPhone. As it turns out, I wasn’t the first. The Fox News thing delayed us and I had to settle for second place that day. I don’t do that very often.

I read blips in USA today about the wisdom of even purchasing an iPhone early on. One chap said he would wait a year until the iPhone got a faster network and had come down in price. I hope he is ready now because the new one is coming and it is cheaper and faster.

I guess I filter everything down to timing. I was in a hurry and got my phone right away. I have had it for nearly a year now and have really used the heck out of it. It is the best phone ever made.

If you want to be the first kid on your block to purchase a Home Video Studio, call me right now. I will hold a place for you in line and we can discuss your situation. Don’t wait too long though. I have had three calls in recent weeks from people who have waited too long and now territories in their area are no longer available. Being first does have it’s advantages!

Oh, one more thing. You may have heard that we give iPhones away at Show ‘N Tell Saturday. We do.

Let’s chat about it. Call my cell: 866-714-1956.

I received an email today from one of our franchisees. It read in part:

"A Mr. John Doe from Somewhere, USA called this afternoon. Apparently, he invested in ACME Digital Video Company. He is now considering on getting out of ACME Digital Video Company, since his equipment is barely working and he gets no support or training and does not know how to advertise or market."

Later that day (actually in the evening) my cell phone rang. It was John Doe. We talked for about 45 minutes. John explained: "I had the choice a year ago of either going with Home Video Studio or ACME Digital Video Company. Well, I chose ACME Digital Video Company, but I am thinking now that I should have chosen Home Video Studio." John went on to tell me he hadn’t made hardly any money in his business and that this was a common theme with people who had purchased with ACME Digital Video Company.

Apparently, John was having a very bad case of "buyer’s remorse." He had been randomly calling Home Video Studio owners for the past few days. I think he wanted to understand the depth of his poor decision and reflect on what might have happened if he had become a Home Video Studio franchisee. Of course, John got great feedback from the Home Video Studio owners he talked to. Basically, they all told him the same story: Home Video Studio is a great company to be associated with; technical support is great, sales and marketing support is great, and sales were good. According to John, every Home Video Studio owner he spoke to was a "happy camper".

This is not surprising to me. Home video studio has great training and support. Let’s take a look at just some of the high points of our support and training:

5 days of Basic Training.

2 to 7 days of training during your installation.

4 day annual convention. This year in Disney World.

4 day of Various Workshops.

6 days of Advanced Training.

Full time and fully staffed Tech Support.

Full time and fully staffed Sales and Marketing Support.

Full time Studio Agent (your personal concierge!).

Full time Creative Team.

Full time Webmaster.

Weekly National Marketing Call

Weekly National Instructional Call.

International Video Awards Competition.

The list goes on and on! After I impressed upon John how I wished he would have picked up the phone and called me a year earlier, I suggested the following: COME TO A SHOW ‘N TELL EVENT AND BECOME A HOME VIDEO STUDIO FRANCHISEE! It is never too late! If you are in the video business now on any level and your business is not at the level you desire, read further. Perhaps we can work together.

Home Video Studio has a program for video producers who are already in business, but wish to join the Home Video Studio franchise for our marketing and sales expertise. If you owned a fast food restaurant in the 1950s or 1960s, you could have purchased a McDonalds franchise. That would have been a wise and a wealthy decision. Converting from your existing video business now to a Home Video Studio franchise is a wise and hopefully wealthy decision for you in the present. Consider your current video business as a prequel and your conversion to Home Video Studio the Sequel!

Call me today and ask me how you can take advantage of Home Video Studio’s The Sequel. You may also qualify for various equipment credits!

I talk a lot about choice in this blog. The truth is we always have a choice, but we don’t always make the right decision. Give yourself and your future a first or second chance!

Let’s chat about it. Call my cell: 866-714-1956.
