Wendy Stamm became interested in television after getting involved in her high school's television studio in Glassboro, New Jersey. She wanted to be a television news reporter and news anchor when she grew up. It was goal she achieved and today she is using her TV talents as the head writer for HVS. She is responsible for all corporate writing projects and will offer media relations training for HVS studio owners.
Wendy went to Temple University in Philadelphia (Bill Cosby's alma mater) and graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Communications - Radio/TV/and Film.
Upon graduation, she landed her first network affiliate job in Pensacola, Florida working for an ABC television station as the "Good Neighbor" feature news reporter.
Wendy later moved to Indianapolis, a larger television market to work for WFYI-TV 20 (PBS) as a legislative and business news reporter. She left there to work for another Indy television station WTTV-TV 4 (Independent) as a general assignment reporter and news anchor.
Upon leaving Channel 4, Wendy switched her journalism career to public relations and worked several years as the Director of Communications for the Indiana Health Care Association. After the birth of her first son, she took some time off from her career to be a stay-at-home mom but she kept her skills polished as a freelance writer. She has since lived in Illinois, Pennsylvania and Delaware before returning to Indianapolis a year ago.
Wendy went back to work fulltime for the Delaware Secretary of State's Office in 2004, doing public relations work for ten different government agencies. Before coming to HVS, Wendy was the Manager of Media Relations and Public Affairs for the Indiana Economic Development Corporation.
She enjoys going to the beach, exploring new places, listening to Jazz music, and photography. Wendy is an avid sports fan, especially cheering on her son's when they play soccer, basketball, football or baseball. Wendy's children are Gil, 12, and Andrew, 7.
