Shelley Chamberlain not only works as the CPA for Home Video Studio Inc., but also she provides support to the entire HVS network of studio owners including training on QuickBooks™. Shelley presents the initial training sessions to new studio owners, as well as training to the entire network of studios at the fall retreat, advanced training, and the annual getaway.
Available by phone or e-mail, Shelley provides coaching throughout the year to our entire HVS family. In recognition of her service to HVS, Shelley was awarded the Associate of the Year Award in 2004.
Shelley graduated with honors from Indiana University in 1978. She is a Certified Public Account, practicing in the state of Indiana. Shelley founded Accounting for Growth in 1994 and is a QuickBooks Professional™ Advisor. She started her career in 1978 as a staff accountant with Coopers & Lybrand, CPAs.
Shelley has worked in both Public Accounting and the private sector, gaining a perspective on both sides of the business. In 1981, Shelley joined Katz, Sapper and Miller, CPAs; she supervised field audits and prepared audit reports on twenty-one engagements annually, ten of which were real estate related.
In 1984, Shelley joined Revel Real Estate Services inc., as Controller, where she was promoted to Treasurer and then Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in 1987. At Revel, Shelley worked closely with clients ranging in size from sole proprietorships to Fortune 500 companies. Shelley directed an accounting staff of nine individuals all responding to varied client needs.
