Even as a young boy, Gary Degler has always had a flair for art. Today, he is applying his unique artistic style to graphic design work as HVS's Art Director. Gary handles HVS's corporate graphic needs and the studio owners' requests for company logos, advertising copy and business materials. Gary also is responsible for the look of the national ads for HVS's TAKEONE Network ™.
Graphic design work is only one facet of Gary's artistic talents. Gary, who grew up in Indianapolis has a bachelor's degree from Ball State University, with a major in Art and a minor in Motion Pictures. He is the former director of HVS's Film Transfer Department. Gary has produced numerous award winning film projects.
He is also highly experienced in video production. Gary has done graphic arts work for several local film and video production companies, WXIN-TV 59 (Fox) and WFYI-TV 20 (PBS). In addition, he has done graphic design, 3-D modeling and animation, multi-media, video, editing, photography, website, and print design for Interactive Intelligence, a software company. As a freelancer, Gary has contributed graphics work for Atari video games and two Planetarium shows at the Children's Museum of Indianapolis.
Gary's latest pastime is being part of a model rocketry club. He enjoys the outdoors and likes to camp and go spelunking. Gary has been married 25 years to his wife Mary. They have two children, Jeremy and Lisa.
